Mariah Carey has been plotting a secret release of her 14th studio album and Jermaine Dupri let the cat out of the bag during the last day of the 9th Annual ASCAP Expo in Los Angeles.

Dupri announced that "Mimi" is officially done recording her next album during an interview with Revolt’s Amrit Singh.

When asked about the details of the secret album release, Dupri explained that these innovative tactics allow artists to protect their art. Dupri also confirmed that fans can expect a new record from Jagged Edge in two weeks.

Bow Wow and Usher are currently working on new projects with the producer. Usher's "Confessions" celebrated its 10 year anniversary in March. Dupri is optimistic about Usher's next project and says that it could outsell "Confessions."

"I feel like the best of Jermaine Dupri is yet to come," he said. "You got to remember who my idol is," he said. "Quincy Jones is my idol and he was 50 years old when he made 'Thriller.'"

Mariah Carey fans should stay on their toes because the album could drop any moment.
