French Press: How To Do A European Spring Break In 30 Photos

One of the best things to do while studying abroad in Europe is travel! Here is a photo recap of the five cities I traveled to over spring break.

1. Barcelona

Barcelona is a beautiful city with renowned beaches, great food, friendly people and fun nightlife. Make sure to spend lots of time soaking up sun at one of the city's major beaches, go to an outdoor market or eat some tapas. Major tourist attractions include the Sagrada Familia, Park Guell and Barceloneta Beach.

2. Budapest

Budapest was my favorite city for the two short days I spent there. Not only is the small city rich in history and beauty, but there is surprisingly a lot to do there. A perfect day in Budapest includes visiting Buda castle, going to one of the two famous baths (Gellert or Szechenyi) and getting drinks afterwards at one of Budapest's famous ruins bars. Go for the original if you've never been. It's simply called Szimpla.

3. Vienna

Vienna is a great city for food, cleanliness and music. Expect to thouroughly indulge yourself in Vienna, but at a relatively expensive price. When you are not busy eating, check out the great shopping, or some of the common tourist attractions in Vienna such as St. Stephen's Cathedral or Schonbrunn Palace.

4. Prague

Prague is a city renowned for it's nightlife, and it definitely lives up to that reputation. However, Prague is also notable for its tourist attractions in its historic Old Town and equally historic New Town (1348). Be sure to see Wenceslas Square and the Jewish Quarter.

5. Berlin

Berlin was the last city I visited on my trip, and perhaps the least touristy. If you go, see the East Side Gallery, the Jewish Memorial and certainly go to a beer garden.
