To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Beatles’ 1964 film “A Hard Day’s Night” is coming back to theaters.

The witty comedy, which features many popular Beatles songs like “A Hard Day’s Night,” shows the band’s path to fame and success while also adding a little quest to find Paul’s manipulative, sneaky and “clean” grandfather. John, Paul, George and Ringo act as the four British friends we remember them to be: witty, clever and hilarious.

In his class “The Beatles: Their Music and Their Times,” USC Professor Bill Biersach teaches about the band and the impact on their generation.

Referring to the film, Biersach stated, “The situations were, of course, scripted, but the Lads were free to improvise as they went along...For those who aren't familiar with the Fab Four, this is a great way to learn who's who, and to become familiar with their voices, personalities, and attitudes.”

This time around, Janus Films hired George Martin’s son (the son of the band’s producer) to remaster the songs and footage for the big screen.

While the remastered film premiered in Hollywood this April, “A Hard Day’s Night” will officially re-open in theaters over the Fourth of July weekend. The movie will be screened in more than 50 cities across the country.

So after you've had a "hard day's night," catch up with the Beatles in this newly restored film.
