'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: I'm Winning
“You Are Going To Change The Face Of Medicine”: A better thing could not have been said by Meredith who was coaching her best friend before she answered the call that would notify her of her nomination for the Harper Avery Award. We get to see a different side of Yang, she’s nervous, giddy, and seriously just freaking out. Back at the hospital though, Meredith plans a secret surprise party for her and Yang acts like she doesn’t want to talk about her nomination at all, she just wants to “focus on her work.”
Boxed In: The little boy from last episode is back and still in the hospital as his immune system is still completely down. Afraid that even the smallest infection could kill him, he’s forced to stay inside an incubated box- no friends, family, or even doctors can go inside and touch him. Bailey is at a standstill in finding a solution, and is getting frustrated that her research isn’t going anywhere….(and bitter about Yang’s nomination). While in the OR with Dr. Webber, their conversation about an AIDS patient flicks the light bulb on in Bailey’s head, and she runs out of the OR. Could she have a solution??
Private Practice: Alex is still debating about this job “Mr. Butthole” offered him at a private practice….more money, easier to pay off student loans, and a lot less stress overall. Alex is torn in taking the job, because he says “taking a job for money” is something he never wanted to do, but after much thought, he tells Jo at the end that he gave the doctor a call. Would you want to see Karev leave for a private practice?
Baby On The Way?: While Callie and Derek continue work on their brain research, a test on Callie showed her desire and love for babies…and she admits to Arizona that she wants to have another one. Nervous Arizona would freak on her, Callie is more than surprised when Arizona said she wants another baby too. Calzona is going for round two, hurray!
Will Cristina win the Harper Avery award? Will Alex leave Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital? Yang’s story is coming to an end, don’t miss any part of it!
“Grey’s Anatomy” premieres on ABC Thursdays at 9pm.
