Former Glendale Councilman John Drayman was released from custody Tuesday afternoon, after serving a little over a week of his year-long jail sentence, the Glendale News-Press Confirms.

Drayman pleaded guilty to three felonies last Monday. Drayman's charges included embezzling proceeds from the Montrose Farmers Market and filing false tax returns.

Almost immediately after Drayman was sentenced to the Twin Towers jail facility, his term was cut by nearly half. Sheriff's officials asserted that, due to state prison realignment, nonviolent and/or sexual criminals are eligible for a reduction in jail time.

Drayman will serve the remainder of his sentence under home confinement.
