LAPD is investigating a former nursing assistant at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, who is accused of sexual assaults against two women patients.

The two women told police that the suspect, Guillermo Fernando Diaz, 56, allegedly harassed them when they were hospitalized and were too weak to stop him.

Detectives began their search at Cedars-Sinai earlier this year after the women individually came to the police telling a similar story.

Diaz was a nursing assistant who was helping patients with heart-related problems. He was fired by the center in July, according to the medical center,.

Prosecutors are reviewing the case and deciding if criminal charges will be filed said a district attorney’s spokeswoman.

During the investigation, the police found that Diaz was accused of sexual assaults over a decade ago by his patients. But none of those cases led to criminal charges.
