Vogue UK and Harper’s Bazaar revealed their May covers today, both featuring Kate Moss in pieces from her new collaboration line with Topshop. Moss and Topshop have remained tight-lipped about the collection set to debut on April 30; these covers are our first look at the pieces.

This is Moss’ 35th cover of British Vogue, but her first as a contributing editor. In addition to posing for the cover, Moss styled an editorial starring Freja Beha Erichsen in pieces from the upcoming Topshop line.

“I've grown up a lot and I learned a lot the first time around,” Moss says. “This collection is a bit more sophisticated. Everything in the collection is something that I would definitely wear, and I can't wait to get my hands on it.”

After almost a four-year hiatus, Moss is returning to her partnership with Topshop with a 40-piece collection of apparel, accessories and footwear.

A promotional video released today by Topshop gives glimpses of a sample rack full of the new pieces brought to life by stylist Katy England and Topshop creative director, Kate Phelan. Pink and black are dominant colors, along with small, boho-chic prints.

On the Vogue cover, Moss wears a silver fringed jacket and shorts in a silver star print. The single image leaked from Moss’ editorial shows model Erichsen in studded denim cutoffs and bustier with a sheer chiffon fringed jacket.

Three Harper’s Bazaar covers feature Moss in different pieces from the line: a black sparkly jacket ($240), silver fringed dress ($500), and black jumpsuit ($150). The three pieces will be available for preorder on ShopBAZAAR, Bazaar’s e-commerce platform, starting April 15.

From these first glimpses, it looks like the collaboration will be a continuation of Moss’ previously developed aesthetic for Topshop. Her first designs sold at Topshop in May 2007: the lacy, floral, sequin-heavy designs sold out the first day they hit stores and have spawned a near decade of boho-rocker ripoffs. Moss’ “floral tea dresses” and “denim cut-offs” were integral in the beginnings of the still-popular festival style worn by artsy girls everywhere from Glastonbury to Coachella.

The Telegraph reports that the collaboration’s rebirth is the product of a vacation Moss took last year with Topshop owner Sir Phillip Green and his wife. According to InStyle, Green is predicting success for the new line: “The campaign images are the best we’ve ever had,” Green told the Evening Standard. “[Moss has] tried on every single piece.”

Our next look at the collection will come on April 9, when Bazaar reveals their entire shoot with Moss online. Bazaar reports the entire forty-piece collection will debut on April 30th in Topshop stores worldwide and online.
