It's not a typical day if you don't see at least one selfie on Twitter and Instagram. Those at the gym, before going out, and even those diagonal ones where half of the person's face is cut off--we thought we've seen it all.

There are plenty of hashtags and selfies on Instagram, but this one couldn't be any more bizarre. Enter, the #AfterSex hashtag. Yes, what you're probably imagining is exactly what we're talking about.

What is life, if the new trend is to take a seflie post-uh…gettin' it on? Think about it in steps. You kiss, you "do it," and then you take a quick pic and spend the cuddle session picking the right filter. Oh, how romance has changed in this day and age.

But really…why?

According to Nerve.com, the trend is "voyeuristic," mentioning that those posting the TMI pictures are fully aware that they can and will be searched by just about anyone. Plus, what happens on the Internet stays on the Internet.

Of course a good majority of people could agree that NO ONE wants to see that. Let's keep this kind of thing for the locker room talk or the Saturday morning brunches. Those slaps on the butt of affirmation are better than the digital "Likes," too.

Even if you're not familiar with Instagram, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that it is not the platform to share your dirty details. There are other places for that (you know what to Google). Not where your everyday people follow you.

Let's not take this trend too seriously though. A lot of users have posted joke pictures such as puppies snuggling, dolls, and even teenage boys posting pictures of their hands (yes…that's there). Dig a little further, and exactly what you may or may not be looking for.

Search at your own risk if you've braced yourself for it.
