Search For Missing Malaysia Airlines Jet Remains Fruitless
Following almost three days of searches that have turned up various clues, including oil slicks and supposed cabin doors, authorities remain without any true leads as to what exactly happened to the aircraft.

As the mystery quickly develops into one of the most perplexing in aviation history, Malaysian authorities have been joined in the search by aircraft and ships from China, a NTSB, FAA and Boeing team from the United States, as well as two American destroyers; the USS Pinckney and USS Kidd.
On Monday, officials one again thought they may have found a clue when they believed and aircraft might have found a lifejacket, but when a Vietnamese helicopter removed it from the water it was determined to simply be the “moss-covered cap of a cable reel,” the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said on its website.
The total disappearance of the aircraft remains quite the mystery, and without any clear leads it remains unclear how much longer this intensive search will continue.
