Sandy Hook Shooter's Father Speaks Out
“You can’t get any more evil,” Peter said of his son Adam. “How much do I beat up on myself about the fact that he’s my son? A lot.”
In an interview with the New Yorker, Lanza delved into his memories of his son as "just a normal little weird kid". When his son was in middle school, "It was crystal clear that something was wrong," he said. Around that time, his son Adam was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome.
"Asperger's makes people unusual, but it doesn't make people like this," Peter told the New Yorker.
“With hindsight, I know Adam would have killed me in a heartbeat, if he’d had the chance,” Lanza also said. “I want people to be afraid of the fact that this could happen to them.”
