UPDATE: Officials say six more bodies have been found after a mudslide destroyed several homes and possibly displaced 100 people on Saturday, bringing the total death count to 14 people. 176 people are currently unaccounted for.

The mudslide was a square mile in size, destroying about 30 homes and injuring several people.

"It's very disappointing to all emergency responders on scene," Snohomish County Fire Chief Travis Hots said, according to Fox News. Hots also said no survivors have been located since Saturday.

Officials say the mudslide was probably caused by loosened earth due to heavy rainfall.

Washington Governor Jay Inslee, who called for a state of emergency, says the rescue mission will continue. "There is a full scale, 100 percent aggressive rescue going on right now," he said.
