Oscars 2014: Red Carpet Color Trend

Stars donning a range of neutral tones dotted the red carpet during the 2014 Oscars. From Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski (the fabulous ice skating duo) to Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne (the hosts of E!'s "Fashion Police") celebrities wore white, creme, beige, and nude. Perhaps it's the winter season, or in honor of one of this season's fan favorite films, "Frozen," but these stars have been seen in achromatic colors accessorized with jewel embellishments. Here we list the stars who worked white on the red carpet.

"How I Met Your Mother" actress Cristin Milioti wore this gorgeous creme bustier drape gown by Reem Acra. This look, paired with dark lip and classic up-do, is definitely a winner.

Olymic ice-skating-veterans-turned-TV-personalities matched in their all-white outfits. The duo sparkled on the red carpet, just as they did on the Olympic ice. No one complained when Johnny Weir replaced his ice skates with incredible loafers that were embellished with Swarovski crystals.

This classic cap-sleeve dress, worn by Maria Menounos, glittered on the red carpet. Though the front of the dress featured a modest cut, the scooped back showed off Maria's toned back. Her physique comes at no suprise considering that Maria occasionally wrestles for the WWE

Kristen Bell blew us away with her vocals in "Frozen," and didn't fail to impress once again on the red carpet. Bell showed off her neckline in this stunning corset-inspired gown. Though the dress was not bright in color, that didn't stop Kristen Bell from standing out.

Whether he's sporting fur coats and sky-high heels in "Dallas Buyers Club" or wearing a white tux on the red carpet, Jared Leto can work what he's got. He proved his versatility once again at the 2014 Oscars, looking dapper in this contrasting suit and maroon bow tie.

Portia de Rossi (wife to Oscar 2014 funnywoman host Ellen DeGeneres) glammed up the red carpet in her incredible Naeem Khan dress. With its sheer cutouts and lace motifs that run throughout, this gown is the perfect combination of sexy and classy.

The TV personality looked great in this classic, neutral gown. An embellished capelet draped over her shoulders provided contrast to the tight mermaid silhouette of her dress.

TV show host and Hollywood Renaissance man Ryan Seacrest looked like a million bucks in his Burberry tux. Some may say that he looked like a waiter, but we think he served up a feast for our eyes.

In this figure-hugging Calvin Klein, Naomi Watts looked like an angel gracing the red carpet. Watts looked absolutely stunning in the gown, which was beautifully paired with a bold red lip, pompadour, and bibbed necklace.
