No More Mall Pizza? Sbarro Goes Bankrupt
Apparently, no one else has either.
The pizza chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the second time in three years on Monday, listing $175.4 million in assets and $165.2 million in liabilities, according to Bloomberg.
According to a statement by Sbarro, the company will "implement a prepackaged reorganization plan" to allow for the company to re-form and exit bankruptcy quickly.
In February, Sbarro said it would close nearly 155 stores in North America, leaving the company with 800 stores worldwide.
