Malaysia Airlines Jet Changed Course

The Malaysia Airlines flight headed for Beijing veered off course right before it went missing on Saturday, military sources told the media Tuesday.

The flight carrying 239 passengers went off course at 2:40 a.m. and appeared to be flying in the wrong direction, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Tuesday marked the fourth day that the jet had been missing.

The Malaysian Government and airline have been facing fierce ciritcism at the scant and contradictory information that has been released regarding the missing jet, the New York Times reported.

CNN also reported that the pilots did not indicate any problems before the Boeing 777 disappeared.
