Calling all music-lovers, food-fanatics and entertainment-seekers: on March 29th, USC’s own student-led radio station, KXSC, will be holding their annual KXSC FEST.

Last year the event was held inside and attracted over 2,000 people. But this time FEST is back outside, crazier and better than ever. So grab your friends and come by the USC campus to share your love for LA’s local music scene and watch big-name and up-and-coming artists take the stage.

DJ Rashad and DJ Spinn are the two headlining artists that are set to perform at this year’s KXSC FEST. DJ Rashad and DJ Spinn have been working non-stop since they first met at their Chicago high school back in the ‘90s. They started off their careers producing house music called “ghettohouse.”

It wasn’t long before they gained popularity and began DJing for some of Chicago’s best dance crews and collaborating with other artists such as M.I.A. and Headhunter. Their fresh electro/R & B sound is definitely something you’ll not want to miss out on.

Sun Araw, another artist you’ll get to watch at FEST, has grabbed the attention of fans and well-known producers with his unique psychadelic style. In addition to founding his own production studio, Sun Ark productions, in 2010, Sun Araw has been working projects with FRKWYS, Eternal Tapestry and various other artists.

Other artists who will be performing at this year’s FEST include Tempest le mans and Kirin J Callinan. With a variety of electro, pop and hip-hop music, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

If the music isn’t exciting enough, there will also be plenty of opportunities to get your shopping fix. You’ll get the chance to buy that awesome band poster at the Pop Art Planet stall, get some colorful accessories at Funky Catsterz, or check out records at the Mount Analog tent.

But what’s a festival without food? At FEST you’ll be able to get a taste of some of LA’s best food trucks. The notoriously famous Kogi truck will be on campus serving their out-of-this-world Korean-Mexican food. Make sure to try the short rib tacos. They will blow your mind. The Grilled Cheese truck will also be on campus serving their Mac and Rib Melt. If you’re feeling like something sweet, pay a visit to the Coolhaus truck where you can get an ice-cream sandwich that puts Diddy Reise to shame. If you’re feeling adventurous, have a go at their brown butter and candied bacon. It’s sure to be like no other ice cream you’ve had before.

KXSC FEST is open to anyone and everyone, so make sure you stop by to listen to some good music, eat delicious food and pick up a record or two. We’ll see you there!
