Rick Dunham, a visiting multimedia journalism professor and co-director of the global business journalism program at Tsinghua University (in China), called into The Hot Seat on Feb. 12.

Dunham and host Max Schwartz discussed what it is like to be a journalism professor and a journalist in China, a county with significantly fewer press and speech freedoms than the United States. The two also discussed U.S.-China relations and his views as an American living in China.

Prior to moving to China, Dunham was a White House correspondent for the Houston Chronicle.
