Kuwaiti imam and son-in-law to Osama bin Laden, Suleiman Abu Ghaith faces life in prison after being found guilty of conspiring to kill Americans. The verdict came after five hours of deliberation against the highest-ranking al-Qaida figure to face trial on U.S. soil since 9/11.

The Kuwaiti imam was captured in Jordan last year and brought to New York where he actively participated in his trial. His lawyer, Stanley Cohen, argued there was no evidence that the 48-year-old knew of the conspiracies.
