Team USA continues to falter at Sochi
It has only been a week of competition at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, but America’s best athletes are struggling to cope with the pressure. The alarming part: these guys aren’t newbies caught up in the grand scale of the Olympics; these are proven veterans and multiple-time medalists. 

Shaun White, arguably snowboarding’s first global icon, crashed out of his second run in the men’s half-pipe final on Tuesday, finishing in fourth place. Likewise, compatriot and fellow snowboarder Kelly Clark settled for a disappointing bronze in the women’s half-pipe.

And they aren’t the only ones. Bode Miller, Hannah Kearney, and Shani Davis have all performed below par. It is a disconcerting trend for Team USA to say the least, given the caliber and stature of the athletes in question.
