Ah, the time old story of "they stole our story idea" of Hollywood's biggest films.

Director Spike Jonze is in some deep heated water over his critically acclaimed Oscar-nominated "Her." Jonze wrote, produced, and directed the film, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson, which makes him the prime subject of a lawsuit.

According to TMZ, Sachin Gadh and Jonathan Sender claim that the idea of "Her" was taken from a screenplay they wrote years ago. The two say that the plot line of "Her" is extremely close to their story, "Belv." They two stated that they pitched their story to Creative Artists Agency, the talent agency that represents Jonze.

Online, "Belv" is branded as "The Belv Show." It feature an electric companion in the form of a cell phone that serves as a wingman to the a man who isn't very lucky when it comes to romance. Gadh and Sender took note that the depiction of "Her" of the main character (Phoenix) turning to a pocket-sized electronic device for love.

Jonze has not yet commented on the lawsuit, but based on the teaser for "The Belv Show" and the official trailer for "Her," it appears that while both stories involve a electronic companion, the plots eventually split off into different directions.

It also seems that the story of "Her" goes much deeper than that of "Belv" and is also much more compelling. It's no wonder that Jonze's film has received its Oscar nominations.

Check out the teaser for "The Belv Show" and the official trailer for "Her" below and see if you can see any major similarities.
