In the Oscar winning movie "Ratatouille", where a rat skitters atop Paris rooftops, slides through kitchen walls, and jumps across kitchen tables. Fans will now have the opportunity to experience Rémy's crazy antics. This summer, Disneyland Paris will open a new parisian neighborhood called "Le Monde de Rémy."

The main attraction of this rat inspired world is the ride called "L'Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy." The ride will take place in the restaurant "Chez Gasteau," which is the main setting of the movie. Fans will be able to experience the crazy antics that the charming mouse and aloof chef experienced during the film; Riders will scurry through the kitchen while Chef Skinner, the antagonist of the film chases them. The goal is for riders to see things through Rémy's eyes, which is why the ride will be only a few inches off the ground.

In addition, a restaurant and souvenir shop will open alongside the new ride. The restaurant, "Le Bistrot de Rémy" will be a place where the public can eat the iconic Ratatouille dish as well as other traditional french meals. Blue Bayou style, the restaurant will be directly attached to the ride and therefore visible to the riders. The souvenir shop is called "Chez Marriane, Souvenirs de Paris" and will open fall 2014.

"Le Monde de Rémy" was made possible with help from the godfather of french gastronomy, Chef Paul Bocuse. The entire project is estimated at around $150 million. It will be located in the new Toon Studio and for the first time Linguini, Rémy's partner, will be available for meet and greets.

"We continue to ensure our guests can experience their favourite Disney stories in memorable ways that only Disney can provide," said Philippe Gas, the Euro Disney president and CEO. "The theme, which is very français, is a tribute to our capital and the unforgettable characters that make Ratatouille the ideal choice for an attraction that fits perfectly at Disneyland Paris."
