The Academy Awards might as well be known as the Super Bowl of Los Angeles, as it is one of the highest honors to recognize the people behind the extraordinary film industry that calls Los Angeles its home. If you live here in Los Angeles, you really have to be living underground to not hear or see anything about the esteemed finale to awards season. Well …. even if you lived underground, you would probably spot an Oscar ad rush past you on one of the metro line trains, so there is really no way of escaping it. But why would you want to? The iconic ceremony promotes an art form that has not only delivered unforgettable entertainment for decades, but has also brought forth films that shape the way we view society, promote diversity, acceptance, and give us a look at historical events to help us push forward to advance our civilization.

It also brings some of the best parties to Los Angeles.

Last weekend ,hundreds of parties erupted all over Los Angeles in celebration of the Oscars before and after the winners were announced. Being that the film industry encompasses so much more than just film in its business, a variety of industries hold celebrations to recognize the staple event.

The fashion industry is one of the largest in Hollywood, as this is the industry responsible for creating the beautiful pieces of art that cover the bodies of some of our most beloved talent we see and relate to on-screen.

Among all of the extravagant fashion parties this weekend was the Martionii Black Label (MBL) celebration. The red carpet event was held at Les Noces du Figaro. The 1930s style French bistro presented guests with a night of elegant dining, drinks, entertainment and conversation with Hollywood designer, Max Martionii.

The veteran designer styled and designed red carpet looks that have been seen at award shows such as the Golden Globes and the Oscars. He created his own red carpet Oscars weekend to give guests an up close and personal view of his designs to celebrate his film industry work.

Martionii showcased a variety of pieces from his MBL Style line, ranging from his MBL Couture collection to his line of MBL handbags. Like so many of the Oscar-nominated films, Martionii pushed for advocacy by honoring the American craftsmanship heritage. Martionii’s line of handbags steers away from those of the traditional design masses that have been outsourced to lower costs and increase profits. Instead, he is working to bring new life to product standards and long-lasting products made in America that meet the high-quality stamp of approval.
