Laura Ling Will Speak At USC About North Korean Detainment

Laura Ling will speak Wednesday night at USC about her 140-day detainment in North Korea.
The speaking engagement is in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage month and will be held on campus in Seeley G. Mudd building.
In March 2009, Ling and her colleague, Euna Lee, were reporting on the trafficking of North Korean women when they were taken into custody by North Korean soldiers.
Ling, a reporter and current host on "E! Investigates," now works to bring attention to imprisoned journalists as well as other human rights issues.
