L.A. Restaurants With Valentine's Day Menus

Looking for a great place to spend Valentine’s Day dinner? L.A. has lots and lots (and lots) of options for you.

Many restaurants around town are sporting special Valentine’s Day menus. While some are only available on Feb. 14, others extend throughout the entire Valentine’s Day weekend.

Here’s an inclusive guide to some of the best VDay eats around town. 

P.F. Chang’s 

While P.F. Chang’s is not featuring an exclusive Valentine’s Day menu, the restaurant is still featuring its popular “P.F. Chang’s for Two” menu. This four-course, $39.95 prix fixe menu includes a wide-ranging variety, like “Crab Wontons,” “Dynamite Shrimp,” “Mongolian Beef,” “Kung Pao Chicken,” “Crispy Honey Shrimp” and the customer’s choice of dessert. 

Ramekin Los Angeles

While Ramekin does not have a special dinner menu for Valentine’s Day, this self-proclaimed spot for “made from scratch ice cream and warm desserts” features a special Valentine’s Day dessert menu available from Feb. 12-16. For just $20, couples can enjoy two coffees/teas, two ice creams and two of the eatery’s fresh and famous desserts. Desserts include “Lemon Meringue Tart” or “Chocolate Bread Pudding.”

Church & State Bistro

Church & State Bistro, a Downtown L.A. hotspot, is featuring a Valentine’s Day menu on Feb. 14-15. According to the restaurant’s website, this menu includes ingredients that not only result in great-tasting dishes but also “get your hormones and your blood flowing.” Some of the items featured on this menu include: “Huitres Glacees”—chilled oysters, avocado, watermelon radish, caviar and watercress—“Tournedos de Boeuf,” featuring beef tenderloin, spinach, shallots, potatoes, and black winter truffles; and “Chocolat Coulant et Framboise,” a molten chocolate cake complete with raspberries and lavender-honey ice cream. 

Cliff’s Edge Café

Cliff’s Edge Café is featuring a “4-Course Valentine’s Dinner” this year. This special menu includes a shared starter (salt roasted beef tartine, goat’s milk cheese, caramelized beet vinegar); followed by King Crab; a choice of lobster, duck, filet or cauliflower; and a lemon and chocolate tart to finish. This four-course dinner includes a glass of champagne and cost $65/person. Seating is from 6-10 p.m.

Clementine Bakery and Café

The Valentine’s Day menu at Clementine is available from Feb. 13-15. Orders should be placed 48 hours in advance to ensure entrée availability. Some of the available items featured on the menu include an “Antipasti Plate,” “Mediterranean Meze Platter,” and “Build Your Own Dinner.”

Comme Ca Restaurant by David Myers

The “Julia’s Sweethearts Dinner” featured at Comme Ca Restaurant this year pays homage to the renowned Julia Childs and her husband, Paul. The offerings on this three-course, $59 prix fixe menu recreate classics from Child’s kitchen in a modern, romantic setting. Items on the menu range from “Pan Broiled Steak with Red Wine Sauce” and “Lobster Thermidor” to “Coq au Vin Braised Farm Chicken” and a decadent “Chocolate Souffle.”

FIG & OLIVE Restaurant

FIG & OLIVE—now open in Newport Beach—features Valentine’s Day menus at each restaurant location. The prix fixe menu is available on Feb. 14 for $65 and includes items like “Beef Tartar”—marinated hand-cut, grass-fed filet mignon served with capers, shallots, parsley Dijon olive oil emulsion and olive oil crackers—“Riviera Salmon,” featuring seared salmon, grilled asparagus, braised endive cauliflower puree and basil infused oil; and a “Valrhona Chocolate Brownie,” comprising milk chocolate, marscarpone mousse and a chocolate raspberry glaze.

You can celebrate Valentine’s Day all weekend long at Morton’s The Steakhouse. The eatery is featuring its famous “Morton’s Steak and Lobster Tail,” served with drawn butter, for just $55 during this limited-time offer. 

The Bazaar by Jose Andres

A Valentine’s Day celebration at The Bazaar by Jose Andres includes his and her libations, the classic “tapas love affair” and, if diners choose, the extravagant “Black Truffle Dinner." The restaurant’s entire a la carte menu is available for Valentine’s Day, in addition to enriching specials.

Café Pinot

Valentine’s Day is celebrated all weekend at Café Pinot, known for its great outdoor setting right next to Downtown L.A. Public Library. The four-course “Literary Love Menu” is available from 5-10 p.m. on Feb. 14-15, and from 4:30-9 p.m. on Feb. 16. According to the eatery’s website, the “Literary Love menu, in partnership with the L.A. Library, celebrates bittersweet classic, post-modern and contemporary romances through food.” Some of the menu offerings include a “Waldorf Salad,” comprising candied walnuts, butter lettuce and granny smith apples (Jay and Daisy from The Great Gatsby); “Gnocchi & Truffles,” featuring black truffles and green pepper spiced gnocchi (inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet); “Cowboy Steak,” complete with smoked fingerling potatoes, bone marrow, Bordelaise sauce and baby spinach (inspired by Jack and Ennis from Brokeback Mountain); and an assortment of “Chocolate Truffles for Two” (including “The Great Gatsby Salted Caramel,” “The Romeo and Juliet Raspberry Rose” and “The Brokeback Mountain S’Mores”). Separate three-course ($60) and four-course ($75) menus are also available. 

Cucina Rustica

The Valentine’s Day menu at Cucina Rustica includes a variety of eclectic ensembles for diners. Featured dishes include: “Insalata Tricolore”—a medley of avocados, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil and Roma tomatoes with extra virgin olive oil and a balsamic glaze—“Calamari Fritti,” featuring floured, deep-fried squid on a bed of greens with creamy spinach dipping sauce and tartar sauce; “Sweet (Heart) Ravioli,” including four-cheese ravioli tossed with a creamy, spinach Florentine sauce; “Penne Marsala,” a penne pasta with sundried tomatoes, onions, spinach and penne pasta in a creamy marsala wine sauce; and an assortment of white and red wines. The three-course prix fixe menu costs $60 per person and includes a red rose for the lady and a complimentary glass of champagne.

Coupa Café

At just $35 per person, the Valentine’s Day menu at Coupa Café—a Venezuelan restaurant known for its contemporary cuisine—is a reasonable feast. The menu includes dishes like “Valentine’s Day Tequenos”—traditionally made Venezuelan white cheese sticks wrapped in a homemade flour dough and served with a special Valentine’s Day homemade rosemary and chocolate dipping sauce—“Artichoke Heart Pasta,” featuring penne pasta, extra virgin olive oil, roasted pine nuts, artichoke hearts, basil and shaved Parmesan; “Chocolate Mousse” and “Tres Leches.” This special menu also includes a complimentary glass of champagne. 

Duplex on Third

Diners can enjoy a delightful three-course menu for just $60 per person at upscale Duplex on Third. This menu features customer favorites like “Maryland Crab Cakes;” “Jidori Chicken”—including cranberry couscous, apple curry jus and roasted carrots—“Braised Short Rib,” served with a truffle risotto and chocolate-port wine sauce; “Warm Chocolate-Peanut Butter Cake” served with banana ice cream and “White Chocolate Crème Brulee” topped with macerated raspberries. 

Gaucho Grill

A special three-course menu is available all Valentine’s weekend at Gaucho Grill. This menu sports a vast variety of appetizers (like “Mini Empanada Beef and spices”), choices for the main course (“Sea Bass & Tiger Shrimps,” served with a arugula and champagne sauce and with creamy spinach-filled zucchinis; and “Corderito,” featuring two medallions of rack of lamb on a marsala reduction sauce, served with Provenzal fries and roasted brussel sprouts) and delicious desserts (“Panqueque con dulce de leche,” featuring traditional Argentine crepes oven-made and filled with the eatery’s famous homemade dulce de leche and served with banana flambee).

Gyu-Kaku

Gyu-Kaku, famous for its “DIY” Japanese yakiniku, features three different menu options for Valentine’s Day — “Classic” ($60/couple), “Deluxe” ($80/couple) or “Supreme” ($100/couple). These menus feature Valentine’s Day exclusive items, like “T-Bone Steak,” “Special Valentine Dessert,” “Seared Tuna Sashimi” and “New Zealand Lamb Chops.” The “Deluxe” and “Supreme” menus are only available on Feb. 14-16.

The Ivy Restaurant

The $89 dinner menu at The Ivy Restaurant—located in both Los Angeles and Santa Monica—is expensive, but well worth the price. The versatile menu features dishes like “Crispy Goat Cheese Filled Zucchini Blossoms served with Fresh Tomatoes and Basil,” “Fresh Wild Maine Lobster Macaroni and Cheese,” “Homemade Wild Maine Lobster Ravioli (with The Ivy pink sauce),” “Seafood Risotto,” “Ricky’s Fried Chicken served with Grilled Corn, Sauteed Spinach and Fresh Mango Chutney,” and “Apple Blackberry Crumble with Homemade Tahitian Vanilla Gelato.”

Roy’s Restaurant

Roy’s Restaurant, known for its Hawaiian fusion cuisine, sports an eclectic assortment for Feb. 14-15. This four-course Valentine’s Day dinner will provide a “love at first bite” experience for customers, who can choose from dishes like “Sunrise at Haleakala Roll”—a Hamachi, salmon, avocado, tuna and asparagus tempura roll, topped with togarashi butter—“Santa Barbara Sweet Prawns,” “Pan-Seared Chilean Seabass,” “Grilled Filet Mignon,” “Roasted Cornish Game Hen,” “Macadamia Nut & Hawaiian Bread Pudding” and “Mini Key Lime Tarts.”

Chili’s Grill & Bar Restaurant

While Chili’s does not feature a specific Valentine’s Day menu, the eatery offers a “$20 Dinner for Two” menu that’s always a good deal for diners. Customers can share an appetizer—ranging from “Tostada Chips & Salsa” to “Half Order of Texas Chees Fries”—and select their choice of entrees, which include “Chicken Fajitas,” “Half Rack of Baby Back Ribs,” “Classic Bacon Burger,” “Original Chicken Crispers,” “Cajun Chicken Pasta” and “9-Inch Pepperoni Pizza.”

Kincaid’s Restaurant

The Valentine’s Day menu at Kincaid’s Restaurant contains a wide-ranging mixture of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Some of the menu items featured at this eatery specializing in “classic American dining” include: “Fresh Seasonal Oysters,” “Lobster Bisque,” “Rock Salt Roasted Prime Rib,” “Braised Boneless Short Ribs,” “Char-Grilled Filet Mignon” and “Red Velvet Pudding.”

Katsuya Restaurant

Reservations are now available for Valentine’s Day at Katsuya Restaurant. Enjoy fresh sushi during a romantic dinner for two this Feb. 14. Call the location nearest to you for reservations or for questions about the special day’s offerings.

This menu includes mouth-watering favorites such as: “Tuna Tartare”—avocado mousse, rice crisp, petite greens, aji panca aioli; “Truffle Porcini Quinotto,” featuring red quinoa, gratinee asiago cheese and truffles; “Mochica Strip Steak” and “Chocolate Covered Strawberries and Alfajores.” Vegetarian substitutions for this menu are also available. 

Claim Jumper Restaurant

A “Steak & Shrimp” special is available for Valentine’s Day at Claim Jumper Restaurant. Diners can choose their favorite steaks (“Filet Mignon,” “Ribeye Steak,” “New York Strip,” “Porterhouse” or “Top Sirloin”) and pair it with Fried, Grilled, BBQ or Coconut Shrimp. The combos are served with a Caesar or small green salad and one side; all steaks are seasoned, aged and flame-broiled before being brushed with savory garlic herb butter. These combos start from $23.29. 

Ra Sushi Bar Restaurant

A romantic dinner for two only costs $30 all Valentine’s weekend long at Ra Sushi Bar Restaurant. This featured three-course menu contains customer favorites such as: “Pork Gyoza,” “Pineapple Cheese Wontons,” “Ultimate Shrimp Tempura Roll,” “Chicken Teriyaki Bowl” and “Cinnamon Tempura Gelato.” The menu contains a sweet variety for this reasonable price. 

Trattoria Neapolis

Trattoria Neapolis features delicious Italian fare with a special Valentine’s Day menu this Feb. 14. Priced at $65 per person, menu items include “Pan-Seared Mediterranean Sea Bass,” “Manila Clams,” “Wood Grilled Veal Chop,” “Maine Lobster,” “Bucatini Pasta,” “Chocolate Strawberry Bombe” and “Devil’s Food Cake.” 

Wilshire Restaurant

The Valentine’s Day Prix Fixe menu at Wilshire Restaurant costs $55 and features elegant food in a refined setting. Customers can choose from decadent dishes ranging from “Chilled Kauai Prawns” and “Roasted Sonoma Rack of Lamb” to “Seared Day Boat Scallops” and “Butterscotch Pot de Crème.”

The special Valentine’s Day Prix Fixe menu at A Food Affair costs $55 and contains all sorts of special delights for you and your loved one. Diners can choose from dishes like “Mushroom Tourte,” “Lobster Bisque,” “Filet Mignon,” “Artichoke Ravioli” and “Red Delicious Apple Tarte Tartin” (served with praline vanilla ice cream).

Gaetano’s Restaurant

Gaetano’s Restaurant—declared the “best Italian restaurant in the South Bay”—features a variety of delicious options on its Valentine’s Day menu. Featured items on the menu—which costs $52 per person—include “Asparagi con Mascarpone,” a roasted asparagus soup with fried basil leaves and whipped mascarpone); “Filetto al Barolo,” which is grilled filet mignon with sautéed broccollini, lobster tortelloni, pink sauce, pesto drizzle and balsamic sauce; and “Pizza Fritta,” comprising fried pizza dough, raspberry sauce and sweetened ricotta.

Drago Centro

This Valentine’s Day, Drago Centro is featuring a “Menu di San Valentino.” This special four-course menu priced at $68 includes customer favorites such as “Fettuccini Carbonara,” “Grilled Swordfish,” “Roasted Salmon” “Braised Ossobuco” and “Assorted Handmade Chocolates.”

Crossroads Kitchen

For Valentine’s Day, Crossroads Kitchen is featuring an extensive five-course menu priced at $75 per guest. The menu includes a glass of champagne and includes dishes like “Bloomsdale Spinach Salad,” “Italian Wedding Soup,” “Spicy Oven Roasted Romanesco,” “Artichoke Ravioli” and “Red Velvet Cake.”

CHAYA

This Valentine’s Day, CHAYA is featuring an extravagant three-course menu priced at $68 per person. Guests can choose from a variety of items including “Butternut Squash Puree Soup,” “Classic Bigeye Tuna Tartare,” “Miso Marinated White Sea Bass,” “Grilled Angus Filet Mignon” and “Okinawan Purple Sweet Potato Gnocchi.”
