Human Remains Found Near Burbank Nature Center
According to NBC, the remains were found in a bush near the road, between the entrance gate and Stough Canyon Nature Center. The area that is usually open to hikers is now completely blocked off as investigators are combing through the area with search dogs.
According to The Burbank Leader, a city worker discovered what seemed to be human bones shortly after 1:30 p.m. and called the police. The Burbank Police Department is working closely with the Los Angeles County Coroner's anthropology unit to assess the situation.
Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn said that "it is considered a crime scene." However, whether foul play was involved or not has not yet been determined.
