The dry spell is FINALLY over- "GREY’S ANATOMY" is BACK y’all! Last night it took all my energy to contain myself until 9pm, and folks- Shonda Rhimes did not disappoint. “Grey’s Anatomy” was ABC Thursday’s most-watched show, with 9.3M viewers! That’s a fantastic feat for a show going into its second decade. The cliffhanger that’s been taunting us for weeks had an ending and there was so much craziness in between! Let’s recap now!

Jackson vs. Matthew: First things first, who did April choose?! After a crazy ending to the mid-season finale, the first few minutes in you see Jackson and April hand in hand busting out of the wedding barn and running into his car in slow motion- looks like a dream, right? WRONG! April chooses Jackson, and the second they get in the car she has a minor freak out - but a quick make out and deep stare into that perfect man’s eyes she simply says: “Drive the car.” Bye, bye Matthew!

Please hold for the POTUS: Remember when McDreamy got a call from the White House right before the ceremony started? Yeah, well now Meredith’s mad at him because he made that beautiful promise that he would take a step back and be Mr. Mom more while she took the time to do her research. But who can say no to the POTUS?! Derek continues to talk to them and has an initial meeting with White House staff for a super intimate background check.

Fresh Starts: Last we saw Calzona, their relationship seemed more broken than ever (noooo). However, fast forward three weeks, in the aftermath of the ruined wedding the wives are buying a new house! Why? It’s Arizona’s way to start fresh, with no memories in the old apartment of herself before the plane crash. Callie is a little uneasy, because she think s Arizona is focused more and happy about the new house, not realizing that Callie will be coming WITH the house. Before they sign the papers they have a precious Calzona moment and fans know that they’re going to be okay. Yay!

Jimmy: We saw Ross his rock-bottom in the mid-season finale, but the outcome of Jimmy, Alex’s father who Ross was operating on. We find Jimmy barely alive, and Alex is out for blood. Webber defends Ross, saying he was having a hallucination about Heather Brooks and he didn’t know what he was doing. He’s permitted to stay, under strict supervision, and when Alex sees him he totally beats the crap out of him. In the end, Alex calls in Jimmy’s wife to come take care of him, but has to lie to fly her in, by telling her Jimmy died (say WHAT)? As is expected, when she finds out Jimmy is still alive she flees the hospital, and Jimmy dies soon after with Alex by his side, without ever telling Alex he loved him.

Totally Dumped: How quickly we forget about Edwards, who was completed humiliated in front of all her coworkers and friends when she was dumped by Jackson in front of the altar. Well, work has been so easy for her, and everyone’s trying to help. She realizes at the end that she shouldn’t just let her be humiliated, she should do something about it. The interns file an official complaint to HR, saying they are essentially sexually harassed, not taught enough, and that the workplace is filled with too many personal relationships. The result - a strict NO COUPLE interaction at the hospital, with the exception of previous married couples….

While everyone all episode long was wondering what happened with April and Jackson, since they weren’t shot together AT ALL, and there was one comment implying that April left Jackson too after she ran off with him, we see Jackson at home cooking dinner, and in walks April. Jackson says they won’t be able to keep their secret for long because things are changing at the hospital and only previous married couples are allowed to be public….wait….what…cue shot to them kissing and a ring on THAT FINGER. APRIL AND JACKSON RAN OFF AND GOT MARRIED, Y’ALL!

“Grey’s Anatomy” is heating up and back in full force! Stay tuned for next week’s episode and watch the promo below! Catch “Grey’s” on ABC Thursdays at 9PM.
