On Friday morning, a drunk Ukrainian passenger on a Pegasus Airlines flight from to Istanbul, Turkey claimed that a bomb was on board and asked for the plane to land in Sochi, Russia, where the 2014 Winter Olympics are held.

The flight crew alerted the Sabiha-Gökçen Airport in Istanbul about the situation and convinced the passenger that they would be landing in Sochi, when they actually were landing in the original destination as planned.

The rest of the passengers left the plane safely and the suspect was detained by airport officials.
