The CW Renews 5 Of Their Hit Shows
Fans can look forward to seeing a lot more of longtime hits “The Vampire Diaries,” and “Supernatural,” as well as newer successes “Arrow,” “Reign,” and “The Originals,” the spin-off of "The Vampire Diaries."
CW President Mark Pedowitz said in a statement: “This season we’ve had great success with our new hit series 'The Originals," paired with 'Supernatural,' giving us our best Tuesday nights in years. 'The Vampire Diaries' is #2 in its time period in the young adult demos, and with 'Arrow' continuing to gain among young men, an d 'Reign' growing its time period, we now have strong nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday."
The renewal of the rest of the CW’s lineup, including “The Carrie Diaries” and “Hart of Dixie,” as well as brand-new series’, such as “The 100” and “Star-Crossed,” will be determined closer to the CW’s upfront in May, based on ratings, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
"I’m very pleased to announce early pickups for all five series, and let our fans know they’ll have more great drama to look forward to next season," said Pedowitz.
