Cory Monteith may have died, but his music still lives.

Bonnie Dune, the late "Glee" star's band, released "Maybe Tonight" to E! News. The song was one of the last songs Monteith recorded before his passing in July.

The band's debut album "Miramar" has six songs that were all recorded in Los Angeles about a month before Monteith died. When the band stopped recording in May 2013, Monteith went to a dark place and left LA for Vancouver, said Justin Wilczynski, lead vocalist.

The band finished the songs on their album a while ago, said Wilczynski. "Some things happened where Cory needed to take a break and we realized that he was struggling and that he was having a hard time." During those times, the band would take breaks from the writing and recording process.

"We were always thinking we were going to go back and do more songs to release a full length record…When Cory passed we decided we would just release all the songs we recorded with him…"

The singer said this album would be a celebration of Monteith's life and what he loved doing instead of a farewell album.

Monteith didn't get the chance to hear all of the songs completely finished, but he did hear three of them--one being "Maybe Tonight." Of these songs, Monteith wouldn't believe how great the songs turned out. "I've never seen him that excited about a recording before," the singer said.

"Miramar" will be released Tuesday, Feb. 4 on iTunes.
