Joshua Boren, a 34-year-old officer in Lindon City, allegedly shot and killed his entire family including his wife, mother-in-law and his two young children before taking his own life, Thursday night.

Although the intention of the murder is still up in the air, Spanish Fork Police suspects the marriage dispute between Boren and his wife to be the cause of the quadruple murder-suicide case.

Discovery of the tragedy took place when Lindon Police Department reported Boren’s absence during his Thursday night shift. In attempt to reach him at his house, the officers witnessed the bloody murder scene with the entire family of five dead, along with Boren himself.
