Third time's a charm for Grammys host LL Cool J? The former rapper was conversational and classy while introducing performances at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, but sadly he was not very entertaining.

LL Cool J tried to keep the audience invested by being outspoken and exhibiting his comfort on the stage but there wasn't much the actor could do that viewers haven't seen before.

Even with fun new anecdotes and a colorful vocabulary, LL Cool J's hosting seemed quite uneventful.

Not that LL Cool J isn't still "cool;" he's relevant in the entertainment world for his current role on "NCIS: Los Angeles." However, seeing as his last hit song wasn't since 2006, it might be time to hang up the hosting mic. Here's 3 hosts that should've been given a chance.

1. Miley Cyrus

2013 was a crazy year for the former Disney star. She came out of her shell and shocked the world by cutting off all of her hair and picking up twerking. There wouldn't have been a dull moment with Miley in tow.

2. Justin Timberlake

Timberlake has been charming since his days in NSYNC, but when he hosted "Saturday Night Live" back in March 2013, the world got to see just how entertaining the singer can be. He's long overdue for a hosting position and seeing as he dominates the music world, the Grammys would be the perfect platform.

3. Katy Perry

Katy Perry stuns audiences with her beauty and talent, and her behind-the-scenes humor is well known in the music industry. Perry's quirky personality makes her an ideal candidate for Grammy hosting.
