20 general museums in Los Angeles are offering free admission on Jan 25 as part of the museums free-for-all project.

L.A. residents can enjoy a free day of the arts at popular museums such as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), whose general admission is normally $15.

However, speciality exhibts may not offer free admittance and parking prices will remain the same for museums that require parking.

The Free-For-All project is presented by the SoCal Museums group who say they created this event in an effort to expand cultural knowledge to the "diverse and myriad communities" that comprise L.A.
