Who loves bacon? Well apparently Los Angeles does because tickets to the 2nd Annual L.A. Bacon Festival sold out a month in advance! This year’s festival will take place Feb. 8 from 2-6 p.m. at the Petersen Auto Museum.

The event will showcase all things bacon, both savory and sweet.

“A friend of mine had approached me about doing a festival together and I had mentioned that L.A. was missing a bacon festival,” says Dan Silberstein, L.A. Bacon Festival’s event producer. “I had seen it done successfully in other cities where I had previously produced beer festivals, and that’s how it began. “

This year’s festival has an amazing line up of restaurants participating. In addition to the businesses that participated in the event last year and what the L.A. Bacon Festival’s site lists, there are a few new and notable restaurants participating in the festival this year: Manchego, Hamasaku, FEED, M Street, Del Frisco’s, Seoul Sausage, Sonoma Wine Garden, 41 Ocean, Hotel Erwin, 643 North, and Villian’s Tavern.

“[The Bacon Festival] will feature over 40 restaurants that’ll present a signature bacon dish, a dozen breweries, a VIP lounge with cocktails, custom photo booth, and some additional surprises,” says Silberstein.

Tickets were sold at $45 for general admission and $65 for VIP admission. Both VIP and general admission include access to Petersen Auto Museum and tastings of each participating restaurant’s signature dishes. However, VIP admission will also include cocktail tastings, early access to the event, and some additional surprise perks.
