Thousands of drivers are stuck in the snow for a second day on interstates around Atlanta.

The roads jammed Tuesday afternoon as people tried to head home from work or school at the same time. Georgia governor Nathan Deal called in the National Guard to make way for school buses taking children home after being stranded all night.

Churches and nearby stores took in people trapped on the road, and at least one baby was born in a car.

About 2 ½ inches of snow fell in Atlanta, but the storm has been blamed for six deaths in the south.
