The Los Angeles-area wildfire that began last Thursday is nearing full containment as crews continue to battle steep terrain and dry conditions.

The Colby Fire, which has burned over 1,900 acres in the Angeles National Forest just north of Glendora and Azusa, spread rapidly on due to high winds, low humidity, and unseasonably warm temperatures. Approximately 800 firefighters were deployed to stop the fire, which is now 84% contained.

Full containment is expected by Wednesday, according to officials. At least five homes and 11 other structures have been been destroyed.

Evacuations have also been lifted.

Three men have been arrested and will face federal charges for allegedly starting an illegal campfire which started the blaze, according to Glendora police.
