Last month's $648 million Mega Millions jackpot had two winning tickets - one purchased by a woman in Georgia and another mystery winner who reportedly purchased the ticket in San Jose, CA.

Until early Monday, however, no one knew who that second winner was, not even the man who owned the ticket: delivery man Steve Tran.

"I woke up in the middle of the night," lottery winner Steve Tran told lottery officials. "I remembered: I think I went to San Jose."

Tran purchased the ticket at a shop in San Jose during a family trip on December 17th and didn't check the ticket until Monday morning, when he found out he had won half of the jackpot - nearly $324 million.

Upon discovering that he had the winning ticket in his posession, Tran called his work and left a message saying he had hit the jackpot and wouldn't be coming to work "today, tomorrow, or ever."

The Mega Millions jackpot from December 17 was the second-largest in U.S. history. Tran has reportedly not decided whether to take a lump sum payment or have it paid out to him over time.
