In light of the travesty Target customers faced last Thursday, Target is rewarding their customers with 10 percent off in-stores. On Saturday and Sunday customers can enjoy this sale. But it is only for in-store sales, not for any sales online. 

This is Target's form of an apology to its customers. Last Thursday, there was a huge security breach when 40 million credit and debit card numbers were exposed. According to Daily Beast, if you used your card between November 27 and December 15th, your card numbers may have been hacked.

Now for the bad news: the card information has hit the global black market. According to NY Daily News, the debit and credit card numbers are selling in bundle of 1 million cards. They are selling for as little as $20 to as high as $100 per card! 

 
Target admit that the hackers breached their security computer system starting on Black Friday. CEO Gregg Steinhafel released a statement saying there was no indication that debit card PIN numbers or card security codes were hacked. The stole debit and credit cards can't be used to withdraw cash from ATMs or make purchases online. 

Customers are not pleased, and expressed their frustration through social media. A California legal team is filing a class action lawsuit against Target. Jennifer Kirk, who filed the suit in the San Francisco federal court, is accusing Target of negligence and invasion of privacy.
