On Sunday, a man and child were reported dead after jumping from a building in Manhattan. The man was holding the small boy when he jumped, and died from the impact.

NY Daily News reported that someone believes they saw the man fall past frpm the 29th floor, but it is uncertain the exact height he fell from. Although he was pronounced dead from the fall, the child he was holding was taken to the hospital and passed away at a later time.

The man is thought to be 35-years-old while the child was no older than 3 or 4. Their identities have yet to have been disclosed and a motive is still being investigated.

CBS reported that a man, Adam Gutierrez, who works in the emergency room at nearby Roosevelt Hospital told them, "I heard a boom! The sound, the way it sounded, they must've jumped from high up."

The building they fell from was a 52-story structure in Lincoln Square, with the man said to have jumped around 12:05 p.m.
