While many often spend Christmas Day with family or feasting at relatives’ homes, those out and about town or traveling have to search for alternatives for Christmas dinner.

Thankfully, there are many Los Angeles restaurants open on Christmas Day. Here are some of the unique findings if you’re searching for Christmas dinner, whether it’s a fancy four-course meal, breakfast for dinner or burgers cooked to perfection.

Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant

Buca’s provides the perfect Christmas dinner solution for those with large families (and dread all of the holiday cooking). Many Buca di Beppos are open from 11 a.m. on Christmas and with family-style entrees like “Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken,” “Shrimp Florentine” and “Fettuccine Alfredo” on the menu, what could make the day merrier?

Pacific Dining Car Restaurant

Known for being “open 24 hours each day,” Pacific Dining Car Restaurant is also known for serving some of the best steaks in Los Angeles. With menus for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, this eatery is sure to meet your needs for any type of Christmas Day meal, whether it’s a “Filet Mignon & Crab Cakes” combo or a “Roast Beef Hash” for breakfast.

Coco’s Bakery & Restaurant

This cozy diner specializing in comfort food is open on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Besides its award-winning pies like “Chocolate Peanut Butter” and “Dutch Apple Cranberry Cheese,” the diner features favorites like “Country-Fried Steak & Eggs;” a “Pot Roast Sandwich” and a fresh “Tuna Salad."

Oliverio at Avalon Hotel

Executive Chef Mirko Paderno of Oliverio Restaurant envisioned the eatery to be an Italian one “influenced by his love for his native country’s food." Hence, Paderno utilizes local meats from California to create a menu filled with Italian flair, featuring dishes like “Gnocchetti with Bolognese Sauce” and “Fritto Misto.” For Christmas Day dinner, served from 6-10 p.m., the chef will be featuring extravagant offerings like “Astice Alla Griglia”—grilled maine lobster tail, fennel salad and white asparagrus—“Ravioli Di Vitello Al Tartufo,” which is veal ravioli, sweet cheese fondue and black winter truffle; and “Brasato Di Manzo Con Polenta,” consisting of braised beef, tomato sauce, gorgonzola and polenta. The feast cost $64 per person.

Kabuki Japanese Restaurant

Kabuki Japanese Restaurant is a haven for both, sushi connoisseurs and for those who have never tasted a piece of raw fish in their lives. Boasting an environment where “Japanese cuisine is the new comfort food,” Kabuki Restaurant features a variety of tantalizing items on its menu, ranging from the “Kabuki Roll”—a spicy crunch roll topped with the restaurant’s most popular premium fish selection—to the “Chicken Teriyaki, BBQ Beef Ribs with Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura” combination. Oh, and don’t forget the delicious “Tempura Ice Cream” for dessert. Note: Not all of the Kabuki Restaurants in California might be open on Christmas Day. Call ahead to make sure the one closest to you will be open!

shojin

This restaurant—with locations in L.A. and Culver City—specializes in healthy, delicious and unique Japanese vegan cuisine. Known for its organic, natural, macrobiotic dining, shojin is featuring an “Annual Four-Course Christmas Feast” from 3-10 p.m. on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and includes elegantly-presented dishes like a “Christmas Wreath Salad,” “White Clear Soup with a Snowball and Gold Flakes,” and “Shojin Meatloaf” served with red wine sauce, mashed potatoes and vegetable chips. The gluten-free meal cost $48 per person.

25 Degrees Restaurant

Craving a burger on Christmas? Have no fear … 25 Degrees Restaurant is here. Located inside of Hollywood’s famous Roosevelt Hotel, this eatery—named after the temperature difference between a medium rare and a medium burger—features “Craft Your Own” burgers, classic burgers and sandwiches, as well as a full-on breakfast menu

Kitchen 24

You might not be getting your traditional Christmas dinner with all the fixin’s at Kitchen 24, but the eatery has a lot to offer at any time of day or night. Breakfast is available 24/7, which means those who enjoy breakfast for dinner will have a field day. Menu items include the famous “K24 Stuffed French Toast,” featuring Frosted Flake and coconut French toast stuffed with caramel and bananas; “Buttermilk Battered Fried Chicken,” consisting of boneless, all-natural chicken breast served with mashed potatoes, gravy and seasonal vegetables; and the “Rosemary Steak Salad,” featuring a bed of organic mixed greens topped with a black balsamic vinaigrette, red onions, grape tomatoes, blue cheese crumbles, and herb-marinated Angus top sirloin steak.

For an all-you-can-eat buffet at a reasonable price, look no further than Sizzler. The restaurant is currently featuring a “Steak & Lobster” meal—featuring a succulent lobster tail and a lean, fire-grilled tri tip— for just $14.99, as well as items on its regular menus, like “Malibu Chicken” and, of course, the “World Famous Salad Bar."

Canter’s Deli

This eatery features a deli experience like no other. With entrees like “Cinnamon French Toast,” “Pastrami Quesadillas” and “Monte Cristo Sandwiches” available 24 hours a day for every day of the week, it’s no wonder that Canter’s Deli remains a West Coast hotspot.

Gordon Ramsay At The London West Hollywood

This upscale eatery presents a ritzy Christmas dinner alternative. Some of the items featured on this year’s Christmas Day menu include: “Roasted Organic Turkey with Chestnut Stuffing;” a marrow-crusted “Prime Rib of Beef” served with Bordelaise sauce; and a “Christmas Yule Log” featuring a chocolate hazelnut cake served for two.

The Restaurant at The Standard in Downtown L.A.

The Restaurant, open 24/7 in DTLA’s The Standard Hotel, specializes in locally sourced, organic, comfort classics served in a vibrant setting. Guests can relax and dine in the charming outdoor patio space or at the diner-style, quick-service counter.

Saddle Ranch Chop House

This “destination restaurant”—intended to give guests a delicious home-style meal, gracious hospitality and a high-energy, rock-western experience—is open 365 days a year. With locations in both California and Arizona, this eatery boasts an extensive menu, including “Black Truffle Mac & Cheese”—a blend of melted cheeses tossed with black truffles and elbow macaroni and covered with golden brown, seasoned bread crumbs—“Jack Daniel’s Sloppy Joe,” featuring a classic sloppy joe marinated in Jack Daniel’s BBQ sauce; and the famous “Homestyle Meatloaf,” which is a blend of spices and herbs with ground beef and pork, glazed with the restaurant’s spicy ketchup and topped with a Cabernet demi-glaze. Oh, and the dessert menu is just as extensive: who can possibly choose between “The Cotton Candy Tower”—a 3-foot-tall tower of sweet, fluffy cotton candy—the “Roast Your Own S’Mores Platter,” which gives diners the chance to roast their s’mores at one of the restaurant’s outdoor campfire pits, and the “Chocolate Macadamia Nut Brownie,” a medley comprising a freshly baked macadamia nut brownie topped with rich chocolate sauce, a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and whipped cream?
