Yoga is known around the world for its health benefits -- both mental and physical. People everywhere practice it in various forms, including celebrities. (Yes Us Weekly, "Celebrities- They're Just Like Us!") Check out which celebrities choose yoga as their main form of relaxation and exercise.

Harry Styles

He sings, dances, and illicits high-pitched screams everywhere he goes. Now, he also does yoga. Due to a back injury, his doctor suggested that he take up ballet. Being the cool guy he is, Styles defied the doctor's orders and turned to yoga to combat the pain instead.

Styles purportedy tried Bikram yoga, which takes place in a heated room at about 105 degrees and is comprised of 26 postures. However, a source told The Sun that Harry "couldn't handle the heat" and that the girls in the class were "ribbing him for having to sit down during the exercises." Poor Harry.

His hard work will hopefully pay off, however, as multiple studies have shown that yoga can improve back function and pain. Watch him discuss his situation on the Jonathan Ross Show.

Gisele Bundchen

Not surprisingly, former model Gisele Bundchen also practices yoga. Though she is a mother of two, she finds time to go to yoga early in the morning and even practices at home with her daughter. Bundchen practices Anusara yoga, which is a more spiritual form of yoga that focuses on connecting with God. Anusara means "flowing with grace," "going with the flow," or "following your heart." It's challenging but deeply rewarding, as it leaves both the mind and body feeling lighter and stronger.

Adam Levine

Despite his busy schedule as a singer and judge on the X-Factor, Adam Levine practices yoga religiously wherever he is --- oftentimes on the road. Levine began practicing yoga when he noticed his lower back and hamstrings were causing him pain. Now, his yoga instructor Chad Dennis travels with him and guides him through postures before performances. Levine told Details.com, "Playing a show before thousands of people is a highly unnatural state...When I get on the mat to do an hour of yoga before the show, I come out physically relaxed." Levine credits yoga and meditation as "an investment in happiness" for the rest of his life. Levine's favorite styles of yoga include Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Anusara.

Jenny McCarthy

Jenny McCarthy is another celebrity who chooses to practice Bikram yoga. For 90 minutes a day, she does poses in a heated room and now looks amazing at over 40 years old. McCarthy told Danskin that "Yoga's been my life for the past three years." The video below leaves us with no doubt that McCarthy does indeed love yoga -- and excels at it, too.

Reese Witherspoon

Being a parent, actress, and running a company, Reese Witherspoon has to work extra hard to find time to do yoga. She practices it up to three times a week for 90 minute sessions. Unlike traditional yoga, the form she practices is done to upbeat music. Get Reese Witherspoon's yoga playlist and routine here. You'll be looking like the Legally Blonde star in no time.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow's dedication to yoga is admirable. The actress (and People's World's Most Beautiful Woman) wakes up at 4:30 AM six days a week to practice yoga, all the while maintaining a very clean diet. Paltrow credits yoga for giving her strength that she never knew she had, as well as a completely different psychological outlook:

Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. practices yoga with Vinnie Marino, a yogi famous for his effective teaching style. In addition to yoga, Robert Downey Jr. also uses massage therapy and martial arts to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
