Two Police Officers Shot In Inglewood, Suspect Not In Custody

Two police officers were shot in Inglewood earlier Wednesday after responding to a call in their district. According to KCAL 9 the shooting happened at 108th and 5th Avenue.

The suspect has reportedly taken one hostage inside an Inglewood home and has threatened to kill her if the police do not stand off. Officers have set up a barricade surrounding the home and all areas between Crenshaw Blvd. and Van Ness have been blocked off by police units.

Multiple units have responded to the call of an officer down including the Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Sheriff Department, LA Fire Deptartment and Hawthorne Police Department.

The shooting happened around 12:35pm and there is no information on the condition of the two officers who were shot but they were transported to Centinela Hospital near by.

The hostage is still barricaded in the home and this story is developing as the SWAT team is on the scene.
