'Tis The Season For Pumpkin Pie Pancakes

‘Tis the season for all things pumpkin … and traditional breakfast items—namely pancakes—are no exception.

See where you can get your pumpkin fix in pancake form this season. While some of these restaurants only feature pumpkin as a seasonal flavor, others feature the fall staple all year long.

The Griddle Café – “‘Tis the Season”

With a plethora of pancake options at The Griddle Café—ranging from “BLUESberry” to “Banana Nana”—it’s no surprise that this breakfast joint includes a pumpkin-flavored pancake. “‘Tis the Season” features the café’s signature buttermilk pancakes mixed with a homemade pumpkin pie filling and finished with powdered sugar and whipped cream. As the eatery’s menu aptly summarizes, “Every day is like a holiday at The Griddle.”

Alcove Café – “Pumpkin Pie Pancakes”

At the quaint Alcove Café, you don’t need to be the early bird to catch the worm, as breakfast is available until 5 p.m. This eatery’s “Pumpkin Pie Pancakes” features pumpkin pie-spiced buttermilk pancakes made with pumpkin pie filling, caramelized pumpkin pieces and drizzled with bourbon maple syrup. Who needs pie when you have such a decadent pancake?

Coco’s Bakery and Restaurant – “Harvest Nut Pancakes”

Known for their delectable pies and comfort food-style dishes, Coco’s Bakery and Restaurant is currently offering a variety of seasonal specials. Especially noteworthy are the “Multigrain Pumpkin & Nut Pancake Combo,” as well as the “Breakfast Supreme with Pumpkin Harvest Pancakes.” The former features multigrain pumpkin and nut pancakes dusted with powdered sugar and covered with the restaurant’s signature “Pumpkin Chiffon Harvest” topping. The meal is topped off with two farm fresh eggs and the customer’s choice of two sausage links, one turkey sausage patty or two slices of Applewood smoked bacon. The “Breakfast Supreme with Pumpkin Harvest Pancakes” differs slightly: it includes two fluffy, multigrain pumpkin and nut pancakes dusted with powdered sugar and topped with “Pumpkin Harvest Chiffon” topping; two farm fresh eggs; the customer’s choice of two sausage links, one turkey sausage patty or two slices of Applewood smoked bacon and the customer’s choice of hash browns, fruit, or fresh country potatoes. 

Uncle Bill’s Pancake House – “Pumpkin Spice Pancakes” 

Manhattan Beach-based Uncle Bill’s Pancake House definitely includes a grandiose variety of pancakes on its menu. Included in the pancake lineup include the sweet “Cinnamon Apple” and “Pumpkin Spice” pancakes, which customers can enjoy while dining close to the oceanfront. 

More Than Waffles – Variety of Pumpkin Options 

Belgian waffles are all the rage at More Than Waffles, but customers craving pancakes won’t be lacking in options. “Pumpkin,” “Chocolate Chip Pumpkin” and “Pumpkin Pecan” flavors (when available) are especially popular during the fall season. All pancake flavors come in full stacks of three pancakes; short stacks are also available. 

IHOP – “Pumpkin Pancakes”

Featuring pancake flavors for every holiday, IHOP’sPumpkin Pancakes” are back for the fall. These fluffy commodities feature real pumpkin and seasonal spices that evoke the cozy, warm, comforting feelings of home-cooked meals. 

Jinky’s Café – “Pumpkin Pancakes” and “Pumpkin Pancakes with Marmalade” 

Both “Pumpkin Pancakes” and “Pumpkin Pancakes with Marmalade” are available at Jinky’s Café, which has multiple locations. While “Pumpkin Pancakes” feature a rich pumpkin flavor and are made with fresh ingredients, “Pumpkin Pancakes with Pumpkin Marmalade” are topped with whipped cream and powdered sugar. 

Doughboys – “Pumpkin Griddlecakes” 

Known for its red velvet and carrot cupcakes, Doughboys Bakery and Café sports an extensive breakfast variety in the “Griddle” section of its menu. Among the delicacies—ranging from “Pigs in a Blanket” to “Almond Crusted Strawberry French Toast”—is “Pumpkin Griddlecakes,” a combination of rich flavors and unique textures. This medley features thick pumpkin cakes with walnuts adorned with a whipped cream cheese topping.

Hugo’s Restaurant – “Pumpkin Pancakes”

“Chipotle Scramble,” “Green Tamales & Eggs” and “Huevos Rancheros” are just some of the savory options on the Hugo’s Restaurant breakfast menu. Among these options include “Pumpkin Pancakes,” featuring golden-hued, pumpkin spiced pancakes served with currants, orange slices and organic maple syrup.
