Homecoming weekend at North Carlornia A&T State University ended in gunfire after a 21-year-old man was wounded by a bullet.

According to USA Today, one or more suspects fired shots on campus at 10 p.m. Saturday, striking 21-year-old Devine Eatmon. Greensboro police believe the suspects were armed with handguns.

Eatmon who was shot from a “considerable distance” was found on a sidewalk and suffered non-life threatening wounds. The school was put on lockdown for an hour, after which campus police still urged students to stay indoors.

Taylor Brunner, a freshman at the university told The Greensboro News & Record that he heard several shots.

“The shooting started. I turned around and a lot people were running," Brunner said.

According to the university’s website, a week of events including a homecoming parade, football game and concert for students and alumni were planned for Saturday.

Police say they are looking for four suspects.
