The first class of rescue dogs graduated last Monday from K9s Only Pay It Forward scholarship program in West L.A.

The six-week training program, created by K9s owner and founder Bobby Dorafshar, offers free training to rescue dogs from various local animal shelters.

Many dogs chosen for the program couldn't be up for adoption due to behavioral problems, said rescue workers.

The dogs will return to shelters, but the hope is they will now be the pick of the litter when people choose which dog to adopt.

If you're interested in checking out some of the dogs, watch K9s Only YouTube channel. And if you're thinking of adoption, make sure to check out your local animal shelter.
