Hugh Jackman Reveals Skin Cancer Scare

Yesterday, Aussie actor Hugh Jackman revealed on Instagram that he had skin cancer removed from his nose. He posted the following to his 257,000 followers:

"Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a basil cell carcinoma. Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!"

So according to the "Wolverine" actor, it was his wife Deb who saved the day. According to Mayo Clinic, basal cell carcinoma is a common form of skin cancer that often appears as a waxy bump, and is usually caused by long-term sun exposure. Jackman, who was very lucky this time, is kind to remind all of his fans to always get abnormal skin marks checked out and to always wear sunscreen!
