This winter, the diner is at it again and unveiled a new hobbit-inspired menu called “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” on Nov. 5 to hype up the second installment of “The Hobbit” trilogy.

The revamped hobbit-inspired menu includes customer favorites from the last year’s menu, such as the “Hobbit Hole Breakfast”—featuring two eggs fried in the middle of grilled Cheddar bun halves, crispy hash browns topped with melted, shredded Cheddar cheese and slices of bacon—and “Radagast’s Red Velvet Pancake Puppies,” which includes six bite-sized red velvet “hush puppies” sprinkled with powdered sugar, made with white chocolate chips and served with cream cheese icing. Several new additions to this year’s menu include: “Bilbo’s Breakfast Feast”—a combination consisting of a slice of honey cake French toast coated with honey, crispy hash browns, a hearty breakfast sausage and two eggs scrambled with Cheddar cheese, mushrooms and fresh spinach—and “Smaug’s Fire Burger” (named, of course, after the ferocious dragon), featuring a hand-pressed beef patty seasoned with Denny’s seven-pepper blend and served on a grilled Cheddar bun along with melted Pepper Jack cheese, red onions, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes.
This special hobbit-inspired menu will be featured at Denny’s for approximately three months, through the movie’s release date. “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” hits theaters on Dec. 13.
