Britney Spears Reveals Tracks For New Album

Besides the two already-released singles "Work Bitch" and "Perfume," the new album also includes collaborations with will.i.am (also the record's executive producer), T.I. and little sister Jamie Lynn Spears.
In an interview with U.K. radio station Capital FM last month, the singer revealed that "Britney Jean" will be a very personal record and that—in keeping with this idea—the album title comes from a nickname used by close friends and family.
"It's like a term of endearment, and I just wanted to share that with my fans," Spears said.
Could this new album be a throwback to the old Britney Spears?
She may now be known as the Queen of Pop, but Spears' first record "...Baby One More Time" (1999) actually featured more power ballads than dance pop tracks.
Although the album's title track propelled the singer into stardom, many people forget that the majority of the record consisted of slower love songs like "Born to Make You Happy," "Sometimes" and "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart."
Only after her second album "Oops! ... I Did It Again" (2000) did Spears' music begin focusing on the dance pop hits that we've come to know and love.
The idea of "Britney Jean" being a personal record may come as a surprise to anyone who's listened to Spears' music recently (especially the album's sassy lead single "Work Bitch"), but the singer's manager Larry Rudolph says that everyone should expect a lot more from the rest of the album.
"The album definitely is not just 'Work Bitch.' This is a situation where there are multiple, multiple layers, things like you've never heard from her before," said Rudolph. "There's a lot that fans expect, but a lot that they don't ... She's written on every song on the album, which is a first for her, ... and I think people are going to love it."
If "Perfume" (the second single from "Britney Jean") and Rudolph's statements are anything to go by, this new album might just be a return to the long-forgotten ballads of "...Baby One More Time."
