Boy Shot at Howard Hughes Center in Westchester

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg at the Howard Hughes Center in Westchester Saturday, a police sergeant said Sunday.

Police dispatchers received a report at 8:45 p.m. of shots being fired. Officers at the scene learned that the boy had self-transported to a hospital with a gunshot wound to one leg, said Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Corbin Rhealt.

This suspected shooter has not yet been detained and the motives for the shooting is still unknown.
