Leonardo DiCaprio turned 39 today. Although he has lost his boyish charm over the year, he is surely getting hotter day by day. So on his birthday, we listed 9 reasons why we love Leo:

1. He has been in the industry for around two decades and played main roles in some iconic movies that formed today’s culture. Do I even need to mention "Titanic," "The Aviator," "Blood Diamond," "Shutter Island," and "What’s Eating Gilbert Grape"… (Ed note: Not to mention "Inception," "The Great Gatsby," "Catch Me If You Can," "The Departed," and "Django Unchained.")

2. He’s devilishly handsome…

3. He quit smoking three years ago, like a badass.

4. He loves his family and mama a whole lot.

5. He loves animals. He's extremely devoted in wildlife preservation efforts. According to “Titanic” co-star Kathy Bates, he carried his pet lizard around with him on the set. He has had dogs and frogs, and enjoys going online to check out less house-friendly creatures.

6. He is a green superhero. He fit his home with solar panels and insists on driving a hybrid car. He wrote, produced, and narrated a documentary about global warming called "The 11th Hour." He's also raised over $38 million toward global conservation.

7. His wise use of his fame. If you follow his Twitter or Facebook, he/his PR team rarely posts about his new movies. Instead, it’s always something to do with how to help this country or other country or how to save the planet.

8. Yeah, his strut

9. He only dates models... actually, that might be a reason not to love him.
