'60 Minutes' Apologizes For Botched Benghazi Report

In an interview on "CBS This Morning," "60 Minutes" correspondent Lara Logan apologized Friday for her report on the Benghazi consulate attack, which has come under scrutiny for the reliability of one of its key sources, a security contractor named Dylan Davies.

A New York Times article published Thursday called the report into question, revealing that Davies told the FBI a version of the events that differed considerably from the account he gave on "60 Minutes" as well as in his recently published book.

According to the Huffington Post, Logan and CBS had previously defended Davies' contradictory account, saying that Davies had lied to his employer in order to protect himself.

But this morning, Logan said the show was "wrong to have him on air."

"We will apologize to our viewers and we will correct the record on our broadcast on Sunday night," she added.
