Fall is passing in the blink of an eye. The leaves are changing colors (well, kind of), temps are dropping, and nights are getting longer. The air is crisp, the sun is golden, and the open road has never looked more appealing.

It's the perfect time to hit the road with friends and enjoy the autumn landscape. Wherever you choose to go, you'll want to look chic and feel comfy as you explore new places, sing along to goofy songs in the car, and eat your weight in Halloween candy (take it from a girl who knows, a family-size bag of assorted chocolate and four long hours in the backseat are not a good combination.)

Here's some outfit inspiration based on classic, foolproof pairings and fall colors.

Track pants are great because they look cute, but are absurdly comfortable--perfect for long hours in the car. To keep them looking chic, stick to a skinny fit in a dark neutral. Pair them with an oversized jacket, a comfy tee, and sneaks, and you're good to go.

Button-downs are classic and comfy--paired with a puffer vest, you're cute AND warm.

Perfect for California fall days when the temperature hovers somewhere between warm and chilly. It's kind of an outfit version of the mullet: cozy on top, party on the legs.

Take your favorite summer maxi dress into fall by topping it with a slick leather moto jacket. The perfect combination of sweet and edgy for bumming around in new towns.
So pack a bag, buy some pumpkin-flavored food, make a great playlist, and hit the road with the besties to look at the leaves. Fall won't last forever!
